Dekalb Animal Hospital has been in operation for over 25 years in the Fort Payne area of Northeast Alabama.
Dr Joseph McNew, a graduate of Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine, began his practice in the community and has gradually built it up to become one of the most needed and successful veterinary practices in the area.
Dr. Niki Parrott, also a graduate of Auburn, joined our practice a year ago. In addition to her doctorate, she also has a Masters of Agriculture in Animal Breeding and Genetics. Dr. Parrott has brought lots of fresh ideas to our practice and we are very happy to have her with us.
The staff here at DeKalb Animal Hospital is extensivly trained, some members with over 15 years of experience in the veterinary field. We work hard to be able to serve our patients, and their owners in a compassionate and efficient manner.
Doctors McNew and Parrott pride themselves on keeping up to date with modern medical technology. Dekalb Animal Hospital is a fully equipped animal hospital specializing in small animal practice. We frequently use X-Ray and Ultrasound as in-house diagnostic tools. We also can do in-house lab work, sending out any complex studies for comprehensive analysis by specialists if necessary.
We are fully prepared for emergency medical care 24 hours a day, with a doctor always on call out of regular business hours. We are able to perform routine and extensive surgery by laser on a scheduled basis.
Here at Dekalb Animal Hospital, we treat your pets as we do our own.
